WAREHOUSE STRATEGY

WHY CHOOSE WAREHOUSE STRATEGY SOLUTIONS?

We understand that decision-makers and senior figures within logistics organisations face increasingly tight deadlines, operational goals, and ambitious sales targets.

These goals may not be possible to achieve without the most efficient system in place, and advocating for change will always be difficult without the right data to hand.

Our unique approach means that we can offer full turnkey warehouse automation solutions, using our three-pronged service structure: Strategy, Fit Out and Support.

The first stage of this approach is our warehouse consultancy phase, or ‘Strategy’, where we outline a completely data-backed approach using the latest in warehouse simulation and modelling technology.

This data allows us to fully understand your operations’ unique challenges, bottlenecks, and material handling inefficiencies.

We do this by analysing data from your current systems to develop bespoke solutions that illustrate the potential benefits of our expert recommendations.

After we’ve handed over these recommendations, you can either choose to implement these strategies in-house or by utilising our Fit Out and Support options.

OUR APPROACH TO WAREHOUSE STRATEGY

Our warehouse strategy services are split into three distinct phases: Data Collection & Current State Analysis, Warehouse Simulations & Modelling and Recommendation Development.

These steps ensure that we can break each phase down methodically, to ensure that we carefully analyse the data and simulations and give you a breakdown of what we’ve found at each stage for complete transparency.

PHASE ONE: INITIAL PLANNING & SETUP

In this first phase, we focus on gathering as much comprehensive data as we can to understand your current operational landscape.

This involves collecting CAD drawings of your existing and new facilities, assessing the throughput process, understanding how the business operates, and what your goals are.

We then clean and process this key information by:

  • Analysing your inventory
  • Studying your material flow through
  • Compiling a complete Current State Analysis

The outcome of this is a thorough report that highlights your current operational state and how these processes can be improved with existing throughput volumes.

PHASE TWO: WAREHOUSE SIMULATIONS & MODELLING

During this second phase, which lasts for six weeks, we design and simulate an optimal warehouse layout tailored to your unique operational needs.

We’ll develop a detailed warehouse simulation which we can use to create various scenarios, giving us data models of your existing setup and an understanding of what would change by upgrading to a semi-automated or fully automated system.

We can then continue to refine inventory models to continually improve material flow efficiency to match your operational targets.

These simulations allow us to:

  • Evaluate a range of different warehouse setups
  • Estimate staffing requirements
  • Develop a phased transition plan
  • Create a number of new, more efficient layouts

PHASE THREE: RECOMMENDATION DEVELOPMENT

In this final step, we build detailed cost models for each proposed warehouse layout and benchmark these against industry standards.

We calculate your return on investment for each option and prepare our recommendations accordingly.

This includes:

  • Aligning the solution with your business goals and performance targets
  • Developing a detailed implementation schedule
  • Developing a plan to minimise operational disruption
  • Drafting contract specifications
  • Producing an actionable road map

We won’t always recommend integrating an automated system, but this step means we can suggest a solution that we believe will deliver a return on your investment.

WAREHOUSE STRATEGY FAQs

Warehouse strategy and simulation is a data-driven process that identifies operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

By using advanced modelling technologies, we create realistic simulations of your warehouse environment to test different layouts, workflows, and automation options.

This allows us to make accurate, evidence-based recommendations that support smarter, more scalable operations, helping you meet deadlines, targets, and long-term goals.

Our process is split into three clear phases:

  1. Data Collection & Current State Analysis – we gather and process key operational data, CAD drawings, and material flow insights to build a detailed picture of your current setup.
  2. Simulation & Modelling – we design tailored warehouse layouts and run simulations to model various scenarios and optimise throughput.
  3. Recommendation Development – we build cost models, ROI estimates, and implementation plans to guide your next steps, with or without automation.

Not at all.

After we deliver your bespoke strategy and simulation report, you can choose to implement the recommendations in-house or continue working with us through our Fit Out and Support phases.

Either way, you’ll have a comprehensive roadmap and data-backed plan to help you take the next step with clarity and confidence.
