Newsletter: Q1 2026
Q1 at a Glance
The first quarter of 2026 has been focused on building for the remainder of the year. From delivering practical improvements on live projects to strengthening partnerships, developing skills within the team, and staying closely connected to industry developments, the emphasis has been on creating real value.
In this edition, a mix of updates highlights what’s been happening across the business.
From project insights and site visits to events and team development, it offers a snapshot of how things are progressing and where the focus continues to be moving forward.
AUTOMATION IN ACTION WEBINAR
In Q1, we shared a detailed look at the CDW project we delivered in partnership with Hai Robotics through a joint webinar.
Featuring Jared Storey, CEO of Milestone Projects, alongside Steve Hill from CDW UK and Nikil Bharakhada from Hai Robotics, the session explored the full journey of automation at CDW’s state of the art Logistics & Technology Centre.
From initial business drivers and system design through to implementation and operational results, the webinar offers practical, real-world insight into how advanced automation can be successfully delivered.
It’s a valuable resource for anyone looking to better understand what it takes to bring large-scale warehouse automation to life.

LEARNING IN THE FIELD
We were pleased to spend time with Spacemaker Systems at their UK facility in Nuneaton this quarter, attending a hands-on lunch and learn session.
Opportunities like this are invaluable for our team, allowing us to see systems in operation and deepen our understanding of how they perform in real environments.
A particular highlight was the walkthrough of two and four-way pallet shuttle systems, which provided useful insight into how these solutions are configured to support customer operations.
Experiences like this help ensure we continue to bring informed, practical solutions to our own projects.

EVENTS & INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT
This quarter marked the start of event season with the team attending IntraLogisteX, one of the key exhibitions in the intralogistics calendar. For us, it’s not just about attendance, but about bringing those insights back into the business.
Seeing new systems and ideas in practice allows us to continuously evolve our approach and deliver better outcomes for our customers.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT & INTERNAL FOCUS
Our recent marketing huddle brought the wider team together to focus on key challenges, share ideas, and identify new ways to create value.
These sessions are an important part of how we align as a business, ensuring we are focused on the initiatives that will have the greatest impact. By creating space for open discussion, we’re able to build momentum behind the ideas that matter most.
This collaborative approach plays a key role in driving both internal progress and improved outcomes for our customers.
SITE VISITS
The team visited several sites in Q1, including a visit to the Walkers Crisp factory in Leicestershire, giving our team a valuable perspective on large-scale production and warehouse operations.
Observing these kinds of environments firsthand allows us to better understand the challenges and opportunities within different sectors.
By seeing operations up close and personal, we can identify where improvements in efficiency, workflow, and performance could be made, helping us deliver more targeted and effective automation strategies moving forward.
HR HUDDLE
Our team recently attended the Vanilla Recruitment HR Huddle at Market Harborough Building Society, an event focused on keeping up to date with the latest developments in HR and employment.
It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen our knowledge while continuing to develop the skills needed to support both our people and the wider business.
The session included expert insight on key employment law changes, alongside an interactive workshop led by Graham Ravenscroft and Theresa Wright from BTP Performance on having more effective and confident conversations in the workplace.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Through our Support Contract with CDW, this quarter saw another practical improvement delivered at the CDW Logistics & Technology Centre.
By upgrading the HMI to be accessible via iPads, teams can now monitor and interact with the system from anywhere within the warehouse.
This removes the need to return to fixed terminals to identify issues or restart sections of the system, allowing for faster response times and smoother day-to-day operations.
We worked alongside Niscam to integrate this simple but effective enhancement that reduces friction, improves efficiency, and supports teams in working more effectively.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The next quarter will focus on building on the progress made so far and continuing to turn activity into tangible outcomes.
There will be a continued emphasis on delivering improvements across live projects, strengthening collaboration with key partners, and staying closely aligned with industry developments.
Alongside this, more focus will be placed on sharing expertise through events, site visits, and content that reflects real-world delivery. Internally, the priority remains on refining processes, developing capability, and ensuring continuous improvement stays embedded in how we work day to day.
